The Immortality Technique is samyama on the Immortality Sutra.
The result of this samyama is an infusion of Paramajyoti into the physical body and consciousness that will transform the physical body into a Satyug physiology. This Paramajyoti will be utilized for one's own transformation processes.
Paramajyoti originates in the Transcendental Field beyond all universes. It is the Effulgence of Krishna that animates all universes. You will see Paramajyoti illustrated in the image on the right, between the upper Absolute Realm and the lower relative realm. Click on the image for a larger view.
To utilize Paramajyoti for personal transformation processes, one can either have no specific process intention and then the Paramajyoti will go to the place where it is most needed, or one can have an intention for help with a specific process and the Paramajyoti will all go to that process.
At the beginning of the day of Brahma when the Universe is first created from the model universe of Goloka, there is nothing to block Paramajyoti from bathing the entire Universe with this highest frequency pure light. As karma is created by the jivas of the Universe, this karma gathers in the Universe like dark clouds that partially block Paramajyoti from from reaching the individual jivas. As this karma accumulates, Sat Yuga transitions to Trita Yuga. Then more karma accumulation results in the transition to Dwapara Yuga. And finally when the dark clouds of accumulated karma is very heavy, the transition to Kali Yuga comes.
- Sat-yuga - the golden age - this cycle is 1,728,000 years in duration. During this period life is lived in accord with Natural Law for most of the period except near the end of the period. The human lifespan is 100,000 years during this period. Dharma is the measure of life in accord with Natural Law and during Sat-yuga all four pillars of Dharma are in place: cleanliness, austerity, mercy and truthfulness. Paramajyoti pervades the universe 100%. When cleanliness erodes and drops away, this signals the onset of Treta-yuga
- Treta-yuga - the silver age - this cycle is 1,296,000 years in duration and Dharma consists of austerity, mercy and truthfulness. The human lifespan is only 10,000 years during this age. Paramajyoti pervades the universe at 10% of its full value. When austerity erodes and drops off the Dvapara-yuga dawns.
- Dvapara-yuga - the copper age - this cycle is 864,000 years in duration and Dharma is characterized by mercy and truthfulness only. Paramajyoti pervades the universe at only 1% of its full value. The typical human lifespan declines to 1,000 years. When mercy erodes and drops off, Kali-yuga dawns
- Kali-yuga - the iron age - this cycle is the most brief of the four, lasting for 432,000 years during which society and morals decline and even truthfulness eventually is lost. The human lifespan is a mere 100 years if you are lucky. Paramajyoti is at the lowest level, barely 0.1% of its full value. As Kali-yuga deteriorates more and more there comes a time when Lord Vishnu steps in and makes a sweeping change, causing the end of Kali-yuga and the sudden onset of a new Sat-yuga with Dharma fully established again.
When jivas have access to 100% value of Paramajyoti, they enjoy human physical lifespans of 100,000 years in Sat Yuga. There is no aging in Sat Yuga; everyone reaches adulthood at about age 25 and then the physical body retains that youthful vitality, health and appearance until the end of the lifespan, which is marked by the achievement of all five levels of Moksha. These first human beings are the Mind-Born Children of Brahma and they have perfect bodies and are given to the most advanced jivas who are well on their way to achieving Moksha in their last life in the last Universe. There were very few of these Mind-Born Children, perhaps only 25. In the Vedic Literature there are recorded 15 Mind-Born Children, 14 males and 1 female. The first 4 males remained as children and never married, 10 males did marry and procreate (their wives must have also been Mind-Born but there is no specific mention of this) and one couple is reported to have had 60,000 children. Others had 3 or 4 children each.
Krishna has given us the Satyug Kaya Kalpa Programme to transform our Kali Yuga bodies into Sat Yuga bodies for the Krishna Golden Age. The Immortality Technique is an important part of this program. By practicing this technique daily, the entire physiology is gradually transformed into a Satyuga physiology. In the Satyug Kaya Kalpa Programme we have a collection of tranformational techniques and each one works with the others to accelerated the progress.
